AI for kids
Artificial intelligence in plain language: how it works, how to use it wisely and how to build your own projects.

Artificial intelligence for schoolchildren: from first prompts to your own project
Artificial intelligence is already part of everyday life, and the question is not whether a child will use it, but whether they will learn to use it consciously. The AI for kids club at Profi School teaches exactly that: understanding how neural networks work, applying them as a tool and checking the result critically.
We do not replace thinking with a neural network. On the contrary — every lesson is built around a task where the child thinks first and only then uses AI as an assistant, judging whether the answer is correct at all.
What children learn
The programme is split into levels: younger students work with visual examples, older ones move on to practical projects and the basics of programming.
- How AI works in plain words: data, training, prediction, and why a model sometimes gets things wrong.
- Prompt engineering: how to phrase a request to get the result you need and how to refine it step by step.
- Text and image generation: creating stories, presentations, illustrations and posters for school projects.
- Voice, sound and video: narration, subtitles and simple editing with AI tools.
- First steps in programming: Python and working with ready-made models through clear examples.
- Digital literacy and ethics: authorship, personal data, fakes and how to verify information.
How a class runs
Every lesson is a small task with a visible result. For example: build a homework helper bot, illustrate a short story, generate a poster for a school event, or find where a model invented facts.
Children work in the computer lab, in small groups and often in pairs. The teacher demonstrates a technique, then the child applies it to their own task — so the skill is reinforced in practice straight away.
Projects and outcomes
By the end of the school year every student has a portfolio of their own work: generated illustrations, presentations, a small bot or a mini-application. The best projects are presented at a school showcase, which trains both speaking skills and the ability to explain an idea.
The skills feed straight back into schoolwork: children prepare presentations faster, format projects more carefully and, most importantly, learn to check sources instead of trusting the first answer.
Safety and common sense
A separate part of the programme is devoted to what not to do. We discuss why personal data should never be entered, how to tell a generated image from a real one, what a deepfake is and why homework copied from a model is a bad idea.
All classes are supervised by a teacher, on carefully selected and vetted services, with settings appropriate for children.
Why AI for kids at Profi School
The club is taught by the school's IT teacher, so the programme is aligned with computer science and robotics lessons — the knowledge does not overlap, it complements. Classes take place in the school computer lab right after lessons and are included in the tuition fee.
No special preparation is needed: being able to read and use a keyboard is enough. Come to a free trial class — your child will build their first project in the very first lesson.
